Rambus unveils high-speed client memory chipset targeting agentic AI
Rambus has unveiled a DDR5 9600 client memory module chipset aimed at AI PCs for desktops and laptops. The company said the chipset targets bandwidth and capacity needs driven by agentic AI workloads and supports PC memory speeds of up to 9,600 MT/s. The solution combines a second-generation client clock driver, a power management IC and an SPD hub for clocked DDR5 modules operating at 8,000 to 9,600 MT/s.
