South Korea steps up cross-government response to rising teen suicides with AI monitoring, stronger counseling
South Korea is pushing a cross-government package to respond to teen suicides, strengthening mental health support in and out of schools, managing harmful online information and expanding links to counseling and treatment. The Education Ministry said teen suicide deaths rose to 396 in 2025 from 273 in 2016, while psychiatric visits among those aged 0 to 19 increased to an estimated 431,000 in 2025. The plan sets targets to cut suicide rates by 2030 and 2035.

Checkpoint launches secure AI advisory service for enterprise AX
Cybersecurity company Check Point Software Technologies on March 23 introduced its Secure AI Advisory Service, aimed at helping companies accelerate AI adoption by integrating governance, risk management and compliance from the outset. The service is part of CPR Act, Check Point’s cyber resilience and response unit, and combines AI governance with global threat intelligence to provide actionable guidance. The company said CPR Act integrates AI governance into the security lifecycle, linking intelligence, readiness, detection and response.

ADT Caps security team leader wins Uijeongbu prosecutors office award for court accompaniment for crime victims
ADT Caps, SK Shieldus\' physical security brand, said on Dec. 31 that security team leader Lee Yongju received a commendation from the chief prosecutor of the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors Office for contributions to protecting and supporting crime victims. The company said the team’s court accompaniment support played a decisive role in ensuring victims’ personal safety and preventing secondary harm, including retaliatory crimes. It plans to expand community safety activities and training from 2026.
