Gerber, a U.S. investment advisory firm, has newly added 12,958 shares of the Franklin XRP spot exchange-traded fund (ETF), it has been confirmed.
On July 29, blockchain media outlet U.Today reported that Gerber disclosed the XRP spot ETF holding through documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Gerber is a registered investment adviser managing $592 million in assets, and the disclosure came amid a series of additions of XRP spot ETFs by U.S. investment advisers.
Earlier, Galocher Capital Management reported on July 17 a new position in the Canary XRP spot ETF product "XRPC". The holding was 86,744 shares, valued at about $961,126. Vista Finance said a day earlier, on July 16, that it held 129,958 shares of the Franklin XRP spot ETF. The value at the time of filing was $11.45 million.
Michigan-based registered investment adviser CPR Investment also reported on July 15 that it had newly added the ProShares Ultra XRP spot ETF. CPR Investment held 36,619 shares, valued at about $363,627.
Some in the market also cite that position sizes are still not large compared with bitcoin spot ETFs. Still, a run of 13F filings by U.S. investment advisers shows XRP is gradually spreading.
Along with expanding institutional disclosures, inflows into the XRP spot ETF market continued. Based on the latest tally, net inflows on July 27 were 532,500 XRP. Before that, net inflows were 5.09 million XRP on July 21, 2.27 million XRP on July 20 and 6.10 million XRP on July 16.
Total assets under management (AUM) for the overall XRP spot ETF market were about $683.66 million. Of that, the Bitwise XRP spot ETF was the largest at about $243 million. The Canary XRP spot ETF followed at about $223 million, and the Franklin XRP spot ETF at about $167 million.
This trend shows that while XRP spot ETFs are still at an early stage, they are broadening their base among advisers and institutional investors. Looking ahead, attention is expected to focus on whether new 13F disclosures continue and whether net inflows translate into higher AUM for individual products.
