iPhone 18 Pro seen using Apple-designed C2 chip for better battery and speed
Apple is expected to equip the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max with its next-generation, in-house C2 chip instead of a Qualcomm 5G modem, strengthening battery efficiency, privacy protection and network performance. The report said Apple aims to expand its own modem lineup and maximize vertical integration between hardware and software. Benefits cited include longer battery life, support for a privacy feature limiting precise location exposure, and better network processing in weak-signal areas.
