Cardano RealFi puts Phase 1 testnet into operation
RealFi has launched its Phase 1 testnet and begun its first public test ahead of a mainnet release. According to blockchain outlet The Crypto Basic, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson called it one of the most important deployments in Cardano’s history. Users can swap supported test digital assets into test USDr, stake USDr to receive test sUSDr and unstake back to USDr. The project aims to link blockchain liquidity to real-world credit markets.

Hong Kong stablecoin payments startup RedDotPay seeks U.S. IPO this year
Hong Kong-based stablecoin payments company RedDotPay is discussing raising up to $150 million in new funding, The Block reported on Tuesday, citing Bloomberg News. The company is expected to be valued at more than $4 billion in the round. The talks come months after RedDotPay raised $194 million across two funding rounds in September and December 2025, gaining unicorn status. It also plans a U.S. IPO this year.

TRM Labs reaches $1 billion valuation after $70 million Series C round
Blockchain intelligence platform TRM Labs has completed a $70 million Series C funding round, reaching a $1 billion valuation, Cointelegraph reported on Feb. 4. Investors included Blockchain Capital, Goldman Sachs, Bessemer Venture Partners, Brevan Howard Digital, Citi Ventures and Galaxy Ventures. TRM Labs develops AI solutions for public and private institutions to respond to cybercrime, focusing on blocking automated illicit activity. It plans to use the funds to hire more researchers and specialists and enhance AI-led investigations.
