Hashdex \'DEFI\' heads for liquidation as smaller bitcoin ETFs struggle to gain ground
Asset manager Hashdex has started liquidation procedures for its bitcoin spot exchange-traded fund, DEFI. The fund ended trading on NYSE Arca on Aug. 17 and stopped accepting new trade orders the same day. Hashdex plans to sell remaining bitcoin, wind down operations and return residual assets to investors in cash based on net asset value. The move comes as overall bitcoin spot ETF inflows continue, led by BlackRock’s IBIT.
