Michael Saylor sets out new \'bitcoin per share\' metric for Strategy value
Michael Saylor introduced a new yardstick for valuing bitcoin-holding company Strategy, proposing “bitcoin per share” to gauge bitcoin attributable to each share and to factor in debt. He also outlined BTC Yield and a debt-adjusted measure, CEBE BPS. The move comes as investor concern grows over Strategy’s debt-funded bitcoin buying. As of mid-June 2026, Strategy held 845,256 bitcoin valued at about $54.36 billion, with an unrealised loss of about 15 percent.

Peter Schiff criticises Strategy for buying 1,550 bitcoin, says BTC value per share falls
Economist Peter Schiff criticised Strategy after it bought an additional 1,550 bitcoin. The purchase was worth about $101 million and lifted Strategy’s total holdings to 845,256 bitcoin, The Crypto Basic reported. Schiff said Strategy’s current financing dilutes common shareholders faster than bitcoin exposure rises, reducing the bitcoin backing each share over time. He also criticised Michael Saylor for omitting per-share details and noted the company did not disclose its “bitcoin yield” metric in the latest filing.
