Two Thinking Machines Lab co-founders return to OpenAI
Two co-founders of Thinking Machines Lab, an AI startup founded by former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati, are leaving the company to return to OpenAI, TechCrunch reported on Jan. 15. Murati said co-founder and CTO Barrett Zoph is departing and that Sumit Chintala has been appointed the new CTO. She did not mention co-founder Luke Metz. OpenAI applications CEO Fidji Simo later said Zoph, Metz and Sam Schoenholz are returning.
