KB Kookmin Bank signs linkage deal with Bank of Communications for China\'s national payment network
KB Kookmin Bank said it signed an agreement with the Bank of Communications Seoul yuan clearing bank to link with China’s national payment network at a conference in Seoul. The bank plans to expand its KB Star Banking overseas payment service to China as early as January. China is building a yuan QR payment system for foreigners led by NUCC. The two banks will jointly handle yuan settlement, while NUCC oversees domestic payment operations.
