Crypto card spending jumps 140 percent this year on stablecoin spread
Crypto card payment processing rose to a record $12.5 billion, up 140 percent from the start of the year, Bitcoin Magazine reported, citing paymentscan.xyz. The market sees stablecoins becoming payment infrastructure and rising demand for cheaper, faster cross-border transactions. Jupiter Spend’s active cards rose 55 percent from the prior quarter. Fold Holdings began issuing its Fold Bitcoin Credit Card to some waitlist users. Aven unveiled a bitcoin-collateral Visa card with loans up to $1 million.
