BNP Paribas issues tokenised money market fund units on public blockchain
BNP Paribas Asset Management has issued units of a France-registered tokenised money market fund using the Ethereum blockchain, The Block reported on Feb. 20. The issuance was done through BNP Paribas\' AssetFoundry platform. Holding and transferring the tokenised units is allowed only for authorised eligible participants under regulatory requirements. BNP Paribas Securities Services acts as transfer agent and dealer, with the project described as a one-off internal test in a controlled regulatory environment.
