Aptera starts countdown to produce 40 solar three-wheeled EVs in U.S.
U.S. electric vehicle startup Aptera has begun preparations for initial mass production of a three-wheeled EV equipped with solar panels. After securing U.S. Environmental Protection Agency certification for its production model, it completed orders for parts needed to build the first vehicles for customer delivery. Aptera aims to produce 40 units, with body and chassis parts due to arrive at its California plant in October.
