ChatGPT \'tell me why I should not buy it\' helped cut unnecessary spending
A case showed that ChatGPT can be used to cut unnecessary spending by prompting users to reassess whether they need a product and whether cheaper alternatives exist before buying online. In the test, a user asked ChatGPT for reasons not to buy items including an Apple MacBook Air 13-inch M5 model, new sneakers, a Disney+ subscription and a microwave. The tool encouraged delaying some purchases while supporting replacement where needed.
