Grayscale to switch custodian for HYPE spot ETF from Coinbase to Anchorage
Grayscale plans to change the custodian for its Hyperliquid spot exchange-traded fund from Coinbase to Anchorage Digital Bank, reflecting the move in an amended S-1 filing with the U.S. SEC. Bank of New York Mellon will remain the transfer agent, and the fund will keep its CoinDesk benchmark rate. Grayscale said staking would be included subject to regulatory approval. The move comes as Coinbase dominates custody for most U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs.

Tether releases first reserve report for U.S.-regulated stablecoin USAT
Anchorage Digital Bank released Tether’s first reserve verification report for its U.S.-regulated stablecoin USAT, The Block reported on Monday. As of Jan. 31, Tether held $17,604,716 in reserves against 17,501,391 USAT in circulation, about 0.6 percent more than outstanding. The reserves consist of U.S. dollar cash and reverse repo agreements backed by U.S. Treasuries, held in segregated trust accounts. USAT was launched on Jan. 27 and is issued by Anchorage Digital Bank.

Anchorage, Kamino support institutional loans while keeping SOL staked
Anchorage Digital is partnering with Kamino and a Solana company to support borrowing against staked Solana (SOL), Cointelegraph reported on Feb. 13. The arrangement allows institutional investors to take out loans while keeping SOL staked, with assets held in regulated custody. Anchorage will integrate its Atlas collateral management platform with the Kamino DeFi lending protocol and oversee loan-to-value ratios, margin requirements and liquidations when needed.
