Solana founder says claim only Bitcoin has value is wrong

Solana founder Anatoly Yakovenko (아나톨리 야코벤코) pushed back against claims that only Bitcoin is a valuable asset and other blockchain tokens are merely technology platforms. He said network tokens are “real tokens” with ownership structures different from stocks or debt. He argued infrastructure tokens provide “real mathematical power” and are not dependent on courts or state power. Solana is changing its tokenomics, including SIMD-547, to strengthen value preservation.

Ubitt links with Brazil\'s Pix, giving 170 million users access to USDT

Tether-backed payment app Ubitt has integrated with Brazil’s Pix payment system, opening access to USDT for about 170 million Pix users. Users can deposit reais into the Ubitt app, convert them into USDT and hold the stablecoin, then use Pix to make payments. Ubitt adviser Alex Obchakevich said users can send USDT using a Pix key or by scanning a QR code.

She argued open-source developers and blockchain infrastructure providers should not be regulated as financial intermediaries. Smith also cited the BRCA bill, which aims to provide legal clarity for developers and infrastructure providers that do not custody customer assets or control transactions.
