Crowdworks joins shipbuilding AI foundation model project
AI technology company Crowdworks said on April 14 it has joined a consortium led by the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) and was selected as a participating organisation for a project to develop a large-scale industrial AI system for shipbuilding. The initiative is backed by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP). The 40.3 billion won project runs through 2030.

CrowdWorks unveils Alpy Knowledge Compiler AI data parser
CrowdWorks on Tuesday unveiled a demo of its Alpy Knowledge Compiler, an AI data parser designed to convert unstructured documents into data optimised for AI services. The company said the solution transforms documents scattered across internal systems for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) services, using patented technology to assess document complexity and classify files for automated processing or expert parsing. It also cited a financial-sector project converting more than 1.5 million documents.

CrowdWorks joins Motif consortium
CrowdWorks said on Monday it has joined the Motif Technologies consortium as a key partner supplying data for the government’s “independent AI foundation model” project. The company will be responsible for building training data for a 300 billion-parameter reasoning-focused large language model being developed by the consortium, focusing on chain-of-thought datasets to strengthen logical reasoning. It will also deploy its Alpy Knowledge Compiler to parse complex unstructured documents such as tables and charts into AI-readable formats.
