Pearl Abyss\' Crimson Desert nominated in two categories at 2026 Gamescom Awards
Pearl Abyss said on Monday its open-world action-adventure game Crimson Desert was nominated in two categories at the 2026 Gamescom Awards. The title is shortlisted for Epic and Best PC Game. Winners are set to be announced on Aug. 28 based on combined voting by the jury, Gamescom attendees and viewers. Public voting opens at 4 p.m. Korea time on Aug. 26.

Pearl Abyss to hold Crimson Desert development talk at gamescom dev 2026
Pearl Abyss said on Aug. 10 it has been invited to Gamescom Dev 2026 in Cologne, Germany, and will deliver a lecture on Crimson Desert development technology on Aug. 24 local time. The session will cover how it built the Pywel continent and open-world production using its in-house engine. Executives from its art and engine graphics teams will speak. The company also plans to attend Gamescom 2026 with Samsung Electronics from Aug. 26 to 30.
