\"Can you send me some XRP?\" Ripple CTO releases email with first mention of XRP
An anecdote about XRP’s early history has been disclosed after David Schwartz, Ripple’s honorary chief technology officer, shared an email that first mentioned XRP. The email, sent in February 2013 by BitcoinTalk user Vinnie Falco, asked for XRP after creating a Ripple account to understand the system. Schwartz said he did not send tokens, and Alex Kravets sent Falco 1,000 XRP on Feb. 16, 2013.
