Samsung Galaxy Watch biometric data to be used as metrics for new drug efficacy and safety
Samsung Electronics will directly link biometric data collected via its wearable devices to clinical trials for new drug development. The company said it has signed a partnership with Germany-based digital clinical trial specialist Alcedis to use health data collected by Galaxy Watch in clinical research. The partners aim to convert real-world biometric data into clinical metrics to assess drug efficacy and safety and cooperate across the full clinical research process.
