Qualcomm maps AI future: smartphones stay, agents need partners, personalisation starts on the body
Qualcomm is setting agentic AI as the direction for its Snapdragon portfolio, unveiling two flagship mobile platforms and new PC, audio and wearable platforms at Snapdragon Summit 2026 in Maui. The company said smartphones will remain the central device, agents will require partner software that handles memory, judgement and action on-chip, and personalisation will begin with body-worn devices such as watches, earbuds and glasses that gather context.

Circle unveils Agent Stack to let AI agents pay with USDC
Circle unveiled a developer platform designed to let artificial intelligence agents hold their own wallets and automatically pay using USDC. The new platform, called Agent Stack, includes agent wallets, a command-line developer interface, a services marketplace and a machine-to-machine micropayment protocol. Circle said its nano-payment infrastructure enables gas-free USDC transfers and payments as small as $0.000001. The launch comes amid growing competition to link stablecoins with AI agents.

Red Hat launches integrated AI platform Red Hat AI Enterprise
Red Hat launched Red Hat AI Enterprise, an integrated AI platform for deploying and managing AI models, agents and applications across hybrid cloud environments, the company said on Feb. 27. It adds to the Red Hat AI portfolio that includes Red Hat AI Inference Server, Red Hat OpenShift AI and Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI. Red Hat also released Red Hat AI 3.3 with updates across the portfolio.
