Qualcomm Adreno Neural Fusion benchmark shows higher frames, 1.1W power use
Qualcomm\'s Adreno Neural Fusion, which uses AI to render game visuals, reduced smartphone gaming power use in a public benchmarking session at Snapdragon Summit 2026. Using a new in-house benchmark called Traverse Evolve on a Qualcomm reference device with Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, average frame rates rose from 17.7 frames per second in native mode to 49.2 in ANF Upscale mode. With both modes held at the same frame rate, power use fell from 6.2W to 1.1W.

Snapdragon Summit 2026: \'Console-grade graphics on mobile games\'
AI computing for mobile game graphics is being integrated directly inside the GPU, with dedicated AI cores boosting resolution and generating intermediate frames to deliver higher image quality with less rendering work. Qualcomm unveiled the Adreno Matrix Core and Adreno Neural Fusion at Snapdragon Summit 2026, and said power efficiency and performance improved. The company also introduced on-chip memory upgrades and a new package thermal design aimed at sustaining peak performance longer while reducing power use and heat.

Qualcomm to unveil next-generation Snapdragon products for agentic AI
Qualcomm will unveil a large slate of next-generation Snapdragon products aimed at agentic AI at its Snapdragon Summit 2026 in Maui, Hawaii, running from Sept. 22 to 24. The company plans major announcements across mobile, personal AI and PCs. It has previewed updates to its Oryon CPU, Adreno GPU and Hexagon NPU, and said it will reveal a flagship mobile platform and PC strategy at the event.
