Ceragem applies edge AI to medical devices, uses experience space data to upgrade platform
Ceragem, a medical device maker with 28 years of operations, is accelerating its AI transformation with a focus on real-time sensing and response. AX Center head Jun-yong Park said the company is prioritising an edge AI structure so sensitive data can be processed on devices. Ceragem is pursuing an “AI wellness home” strategy and is using data from its nationwide Wellaunge experience spaces to upgrade its Ceracheck platform, while expanding partnerships through a healthcare alliance.

Samsung SDS highlights full-stack AI capabilities at CES 2026
Samsung SDS took part in CES 2026, showcasing workplace innovation cases based on AI agents and its full-stack AI capabilities. It set up a dedicated room to let customers experience changes in working methods and introduced scenarios based on a day in the life of staff in the public, finance and manufacturing sectors. The company highlighted its AI infrastructure, platform and solutions, and said it will strengthen its AI business through a new AX Center.

Kurly AX center research paper published in SCI-level industrial engineering journal CAIE
Kurly said on Thursday that a production planning optimisation paper by its AX center has been published in the industrial engineering journal Computers & Industrial Engineering (CAIE). The paper presents a data-driven order-batching model to address bottlenecks in logistics processes. The team developed an algorithm to predict and reduce the number of boxes generated per order using past logistics data. Kurly said field tests showed logistics congestion fell by up to 92 percent and efficiency improved by 33 percent compared with meta-heuristic methods.
