SKT wins most innovative 5G service award at Network X for AI-RAN technology
SK Telecom said it won the award for the most innovative 5G communications service at the Network X Awards in Vienna on Oct. 14 local time. The company received the prize for its autonomous vehicle movement technology using an AI-based radio access network, or AI-RAN. SKT said it developed and tested AI-RAN base stations and verified stable communications while processing AI services. It plans to apply the technology at domestic car plants in 2027.
