SOOP signs year-long \'ASL 2026\' sponsorship with Google Play

SOOP has signed a year-long sponsorship agreement with Google Play for the 2026 season of ASL, it said on Sunday. The company plans to stage the finals for Season 21 and Season 22 on outdoor temporary stages. Season 21 will be held at the 2026 PlayX4 Gyeonggi eSports Festival with about 500 seats. Season 22 will take place at a temporary stage at Jamsil Lotte World Ice Rink with about 1,000 seats.

SOOP to hold ASL Season Open

SOOP said on Thursday it will introduce a new tournament, the ASL Season Open, as a pathway to the ASL Season 21 main event. The event will be played in Blizzard Entertainment\'s RTS game StarCraft: Remastered and will replace the existing ACS challenger league. It will use an open-entry format and a one-day tournament structure from qualifiers to the final. Each round winner will receive 1,000,000 won and a direct seed into the ASL Season 21 round of 24.
