Firefighters to get communications priority in disasters; MSIT selects 8 proactive administration cases
South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT selected 8 cases as top proactive administration examples, including a system change to prioritise firefighters’ communications over general users during disasters such as major fires. The ministry also recognised an internal project that used AI vibe coding to build a startup integrated management web app without outsourcing. Other selected cases included expanding a data safety option across all plans without fee increases and a nationwide survey and compensation system for shared internet equipment electricity charges.

MegazoneSoft provides technical support for Hankook & Company generative AI hackathon
MegazoneSoft, an affiliate of AI and cloud company MegazoneCloud, provided end-to-end support for Hankook & Company Group\'s generative AI-based hackathon, it said on June 16. The support, delivered with Google Cloud, covered building the usage environment, pre-event training and technical mentoring. The finals of the “AI Vibe Coding Hackathon 2026” drew 30 teams and 80 employees, with six teams selected as winners.

Software is not dead, only corporate perspectives have shifted
AI-powered “vibe coding” is making it easier for companies to build software in-house, but many still doubt scenarios predicting the end of SaaS. Large companies are seen as unlikely to abandon core packaged software, though AI is shifting buyer leverage and pricing talks. Some firms already use vibe coding and AI agents for small apps and optimisation. FedEx, EY and Cisco are cited as examples in recent Wall Street Journal reporting.
