LG, UNESCO launch AI ethics online education program
LG AI Research and UNESCO on Sunday held a global launch event in Seoul for the AI Ethics MOOC project and released a free online course. The programme is based on UNESCO\'s Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and targets AI experts, researchers and policymakers worldwide. Delivered in 10 modules with participation from global institutions and regional experts, it is offered through Coursera. The partners plan to expand it into a training programme and broaden it to universities in South Korea.

Naver unveils ASF 2.0 AI safety framework, expands to user and service-focused checks
Naver on Tuesday unveiled ASF 2.0, an updated artificial intelligence safety framework that expands checks beyond technology models to the services users experience. The company said the revision upgrades a framework introduced at the 2024 AI Seoul Summit to reflect global trends, policy and institutional changes, including the spread of multi-model environments and enactment of the AI Basic Act. It also introduced CHEC 2.0 to support companywide execution.

MSIT discusses global AI issues at G7 digital ministers meeting
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT shared its policy direction for the spread of artificial intelligence and a safe digital transition at a G7 digital technology ministers meeting in Paris. Vice Minister Ryu Je-myeong led the delegation. Participants discussed safe and responsible AI, wider AI use by small and medium-sized firms, digital-based carbon neutrality and protection of minors online. The ministry also plans to visit French AI company Mistral AI.
