KOSA calls for shift from GPU stockpiling race to industrial use competition
The AI Policy Cooperation Committee under the Korea Artificial Intelligence and Software Industry Association said it published a strategy report on using GPUs in the public sector to help South Korea become a top-three AI powerhouse. The report warned that GPUs have a 3 to 5 year lifespan and could become idle assets without early high utilisation. It urged policy to shift toward industrial deployment and offered recommendations on procurement, funding, infrastructure use and talent.
