AI hacking spurs shift in corporate security spending priorities
As AI hacking spreads, companies are not only increasing cybersecurity budgets but also changing spending priorities, benefiting some newer security technologies while sidelining parts of the traditional stack. Large firms are raising outlays for tools to monitor employee AI use, find vulnerabilities ahead of hackers and speed patching. Some are cutting spending on traditional vulnerability management, log collection and penetration testing. Gartner forecasts strong growth in the AI security market through 2028.

CrowdStrike CEO says AI boom a tailwind for cybersecurity, confident on full-year results
CrowdStrike expects security demand to rise as AI-driven threats spread, and it raised annual guidance after reporting results above market expectations. CEO George Kurtz said companies are becoming more wary of AI-based cyber threats and that the trend should translate into revenue growth over the next several quarters. He said investor expectations around the Mithos scenario were premature, and highlighted an improved full-year net new ARR outlook and a surge in AI detection and response sales pipeline.

Manifold launches Manifest AI agent supply chain analysis platform
Manifold Security has launched Manifest, a supply chain intelligence platform that analyzes interactions among AI agent components and their connections to external systems, SiliconANGLE reported. The company said the fast-growing AI agent ecosystem is increasing supply chain complexity as components carry distinct trust assumptions, dependencies and vulnerabilities. Manifest builds an execution graph and an environment graph and combines them to detect patterns and risks. A company report cited 238,000 unique skills and malicious cases.
