Nvidia halts some deals in AI cloud revenue-sharing program
Nvidia has halted some transactions in a new financing program that provides credit support to AI cloud companies in exchange for a share of revenue, the Wall Street Journal reported on Aug. 27. The company introduced the AI Compute Partnership program in July to help smaller cloud firms facing fundraising difficulties. Some employees raised concerns the program could face antitrust scrutiny, the report said.

Naver forms $10 billion AI infrastructure alliance with Nvidia and Brookfield
Naver said on July 27 it secured a $1 billion strategic investment from Nvidia and signed a $9 billion infrastructure pre-agreement with alternative asset manager Brookfield. It said the deals would provide $10 billion in global funding and partnerships, helping address GPU supply and equipment procurement. Nvidia will acquire a 4.5% stake. Naver also plans to enter AI factory revenue from 2027 and scale capacity from 55 MW to 200 MW and then 1 GW.

Nvidia provides financial guarantees to AI cloud firms and takes share of revenue
Nvidia is providing financial guarantees to small cloud companies that make a living by renting out its GPUs, and in return is sharing in some of their revenue, The Information reported on Tuesday. Nvidia has promised to buy back unsold inventory if the cloud firms cannot lease their GPUs, in exchange for a share of revenue. The share Nvidia takes declines over the contract period, the report said.
