iPadOS 27 ends support for five older iPad models, excluding A12 and A12X devices
Apple will end support in iPadOS 27 for five iPad models using A12 or A12X chips, including the iPad (8th generation) and several iPad Pro, Air and mini models. The move differs from iOS 27, which will keep supporting all iPhones supported by iOS 26. NineToFiveMac raised concerns about iPadOS 26 as a final version and suggested allowing downgrades to iPadOS 18 or expanding support with feature limits.
