AI coding startup Cognition raises over $1 billion at $25 billion valuation, ARR nears $492 million
AI coding startup Cognition raised more than $1 billion at a pre-money valuation of $25 billion. TechCrunch reported the valuation marked a sharp rise from an October post-money valuation of $10.2 billion after a $400 million funding round in September last year. Cognition develops Devin, an autonomous AI software engineer. The round was led by Lux Capital and General Catalyst, with participation from Founders Fund and 8VC, among others.

Armadin founded by Kevin Mandia raises $189.9 million to build autonomous security agents
Kevin Mandia, who sold Mandiant to Google for $5.4 billion, has founded a new AI-based cybersecurity startup, Armadin, and raised funding. TechCrunch reported that the company secured $189.9 million in seed and Series A financing led by Accel, with participation from GV, Kleiner Perkins, Menlo Ventures, 8VC, Ballistic Ventures and In-Q-Tel. Armadin aims to build autonomous security agents that counter AI-driven attacks.

Flux raises $37 million to automate PCB development with AI
Flux, a company developing an automated platform for printed circuit board design, has raised $37 million. SiliconANGLE reported the funding includes a Series B round led by 8VC and a $10 million seed round joined by Outsiders Fund and Bain Capital Ventures. Flux said its AI platform can generate PCB designs, recommend components and suggest cost reductions, and also supports firmware development, testing and code generation.
