[DigitalToday reporter Jinju Hong (홍진주)] Hyperliquid (HYPE), XRP and Solana (SOL), which have recently posted strong gains, are taking a breather at key price levels. With all three having surged in a short period, analysts say further gains will depend on breaking major resistance and defending key support.
On Sept. 1, blockchain outlet U.Today reported that HYPE rose to around $87 recently before trading at $80.83. HYPE quickly climbed more than 40 percent from below $60 in mid-August, lifting its short-term peak.
HYPE's biggest near-term hurdle is the $85 to $87 range. Selling pressure has repeatedly appeared in that zone, delaying a breakout. The market is watching the possibility that if it posts a daily close above $87, it could try to rise to $90 and then $100.
Trading volume is a variable. Volume, which surged when it broke through the $60 to $70 range, has recently declined in the $80 to $85 range. Analysts say the uptrend could regain strength if volume increases again alongside a break above $87. If $78 to $80 gives way, it could extend its pullback to $71.67, where the 20-day exponential moving average sits.
XRP is moving near its 200-day moving average, a level used to gauge the long-term trend. Its current price is around $1.37, touching the 200-day line at $1.35. It pulled back after a sharp jump from around $1 to $1.70, but buying interest appeared near $1.35.
If XRP holds $1.35, it could retake $1.40 and then retest the $1.45 to $1.50 resistance zone. If it posts a daily close below $1.35, losses could deepen to the 20-day line at $1.27 and the 100-day line at $1.21.
SOL appears to have secured $100 as key short-term support. SOL, which rose about 45 percent in about two weeks after starting from around $75, climbed to around $110 before trading at $102.70.
If SOL holds $100, the next focus is whether it can clear $105 and its recent peak of $109 to $110. If it breaks above $110, the possibility of a rise to $115 to $120 could open up. If $100 breaks, the pullback could widen to around $90, where the 200-day line and 20-day line sit, after passing $95.
All three coins have ultimately reached a test after their sharp rises. HYPE's break above $87 and a rebound in volume, XRP's support at $1.35 and SOL's defense of $100 are each cited as key levels likely to shape the next move.
