Binance has unveiled an integrated platform, Binance Agent OS, that connects artificial intelligence (AI) agents with its financial infrastructure. It aims to build an environment in which AI goes beyond providing information to performing financial services, expanding its financial superapp strategy.

Binance said on Aug. 31 it is introducing Binance Agent OS, a gateway and developer toolkit that connects AI agents with its financial infrastructure.

Developers can connect AI agents to Binance systems to use a range of information and functions, including market data. Binance plans to expand the scope of connections in stages to cover payments and on-chain areas.

Binance Agent OS adopts a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. MCP is an open standard specification that supports AI systems connecting to external data and services.

It is designed to connect global AI systems such as ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex and Claude Code with in-house AI agents.

Users can add the Binance MCP server to the AI agent environment they use, then connect systems through authentication and permission settings.

Binance also provides Binance Skills Hub for developers. It allows developers to connect various functions to AI agents, including Web3 wallet tracking and decentralised finance (DeFi) interactions, without building separate integration logic themselves.

As AI directly accesses financial services, Binance has also strengthened user control functions. It is designed so AI agents perform functions only within the scope explicitly allowed by users, who can set access functions and permissions, as well as funding limits, themselves.

Settings can be changed at any time or connections can be severed. It also applied an Emergency Stop function that can halt access permissions for all AI agents at once.

A Binance official said, "Starting with Binance Agent OS, we will continue to expand the possibilities of a financial superapp."
