Modusign, an electronic contract platform company, said on Aug. 28 it supplied a public-use electronic signature solution to the South Gyeongsang Province Office of Education's "online system for supporting high school admissions screening."
Modusign said this will support a shift to online submission of applications for the 2027 high school admissions process.
The company said 202 high schools are currently linked to the South Gyeongsang high school admissions portal. It said about 30,000 ninth-grade students and their guardians, or about 60,000 people a year, are expected to use the system. Modusign estimated the system will generate more than 35,000 electronic signatures a year.
Lee Young-jun (이영준), Modusign's chief executive, said the South Gyeongsang Province Office of Education's adoption of Modusign's public-use electronic signature shows electronic signatures can be a core tool driving digital transformation across education administration beyond contracts. He said the company will continue to support digital innovation in education by easing inconvenience for students and parents and improving work efficiency for teachers and staff.
