Anthropic has expanded mobile access for Claude Cowork to all users on paid plans.

The IT outlet 9to5Mac reported on Monday that Claude Cowork can now be used by all paid-plan subscribers on iPhone, iPad and desktop.

The move completes a mobile support plan announced about a month ago. Anthropic said then it would expand Claude Cowork, which it offered on Mac, to iPhone and iPad, and it has gradually broadened support starting with users of its highest-priced plan. From Monday, all paid-plan users can use the service on mobile as well.

Claude Cowork is a feature that handles tasks users assign by connecting to multiple tools. It can access linked services such as files, calendars, email, messaging apps and the web to check needed information and continue a single job.

The mobile support focuses on keeping such workflows going regardless of location or device. Users can check the progress or outputs of work started on desktop from a phone, and scheduled tasks continue even if a device is not online. Users can, for example, assign it to review emails, meeting records and related materials at a set time and write a briefing.

If a task requires a user's judgment during the process, it requests confirmation on mobile. Users can adjust the direction of work in progress or review the output, and important final actions are designed to require user approval. Claude Cowork is available on the Claude app for iPhone, iPad and Android, as well as on the web.

As the supported range widens, competition over workplace artificial intelligence services is becoming clearer. OpenAI is also providing workplace features across iPhone, iPad, Mac and the web through ChatGPT Work. Competition among AI companies is expanding beyond model performance to how naturally work can be continued across devices.

Actual user experience is expected to become a key factor that determines service competitiveness. As workplace AI rapidly expands from desktop to mobile, whether users can keep workflows going without interruption when switching devices is also expected to have a growing impact on service choice.
