Hyundai Motor Securities discussed changes in the management environment and ways to drive organisational innovation, including artificial intelligence (AI) and digital finance, with its in-house junior board.

Hyundai Motor Securities said on Aug. 14 it held a dialogue session on Aug. 13 with CEO Bae Hyeong-geun (배형근) and its in-house junior board, CLB (Change Leader Board).

CLB is a junior employee-led communication council that started with the launch of Hyundai Motor Securities and has operated for about 18 years. About 150 employees have so far proposed ideas to improve management issues including work and management activities, HR and welfare systems, and corporate culture.

In the session, participants exchanged views on the company’s change and innovation over the past 3 years. CLB members shared experiences focused on work innovation, applying AI and organisational innovation, and proposed ideas to strengthen competitiveness.

On organisational change, they also shared views on Bae’s recent additional purchase of the company’s treasury shares, family-friendly company certification, participation in social contribution activities and expanded welfare.

Bae listened to employees’ views and stressed that change and innovation that do not remain in existing ways are needed for sustainable growth in a rapidly changing business environment. He also called for employees to participate so new ideas can lead to real change.

Asked about changes and response measures from the digitalisation of capital markets, Bae said, "The future financial environment will see competition in data utilisation capabilities as the key, providing customers with personalised services through the AI revolution and the digital finance revolution."

He added, "Through Hyundai Motor Securities’ AI platform, the 'HAI' service, and AI training, we will transform into an organisation that leads change, and when we embrace new technology, a crisis will become an opportunity for growth."
