Samsung Electronics is accelerating supplies of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) solutions for AI data centers in India. Samsung Electronics said on Wednesday it held a completion ceremony for FlaktGroup's new production line in Pune, Maharashtra.

The Pune production line is a key production base to serve customers in India and the Asia-Pacific region. Along with the existing Noida facility, it will supply HVAC solutions quickly. The plant spans 13,826 square metres and was completed in about six months after construction of equipment began early this year.

Once fully operational, it will produce up to 6,500 HVAC units a year. It will manufacture air handling units (AHU), fan wall units (FWU) and computer room air handling units (CRAH). Pune is an area where data centers and industrial infrastructure are growing rapidly, and its proximity to the port of Mumbai can improve supply chain efficiency.

Kim Cheol-gi (김철기), head of Samsung Electronics' DA Business Division and a vice president, said the completion of the Pune production line is an important milestone in expanding HVAC supplies beyond India to the Asia-Pacific region. He said Samsung will combine its AI and platform technology capabilities with FlaktGroup's HVAC strengths to provide the best value to a range of customers, including AI data centers.
