NCSoft said on Monday its second-quarter revenue on a consolidated basis rose 101 percent from a year earlier to 770.5 billion won, and operating profit jumped 1053 percent to 173.9 billion won. Net profit was tallied at 131.2 billion won.

From the previous quarter, revenue and operating profit rose 38 percent and 53 percent, respectively. The second-quarter operating margin was 23 percent.

By region, revenue was made up of 48 percent from South Korea, 25 percent from Asia and 27 percent from North America and Europe. Overseas revenue accounted for 52 percent of total sales, exceeding the domestic share. The overseas revenue share rose for a fourth straight quarter.

PC game revenue was 343.8 billion won, extending a record quarterly high set in the first quarter. Lineage Classic generated 185.5 billion won in revenue and posted cumulative sales of 269.1 billion won over 140 days since launch as of end-June. Revenue from Lineage Remastered rose 18 percent from the previous quarter.

Mobile game revenue was 185.3 billion won, up slightly from the previous quarter. Lineage M grew 4 percent from the previous quarter. Revenue from the mobile casual segment was tallied at 169.7 billion won. From this quarter, results from global mobile game platform JustPlay were consolidated for the first time, with the mobile casual business accounting for 22 percent of total sales.

NCSoft plans to take part in global game show Gamescom 2026, which opens on Aug. 26 in Cologne, Germany, to showcase a lineup of new global titles including Aion 2, Cinder City and Project Bonfire.
