Industrial data AI startup Searchdog said on Sunday it was selected as a member of Nvidia's startup support programme, Nvidia Inception.

Searchdog is a startup founded by engineers who previously worked at Amazon Web Services, Naver and Samsung. It is developing technology to analyse large-scale documents and drawings that are difficult for large language models (LLMs) to process. It targets the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) industry as its main market.

A key function is to connect data dispersed within companies, including contracts, specifications, drawings and building information modelling (BIM), official documents and other materials, so they can be searched, compared, verified and generated. It analyses structured information such as cross-references among contract clauses, tables and drawing objects, industry-specific technical terms and document revision histories.

Searchdog said it supplies related services to South Korean construction companies including Samsung C&T.

The company raised seed funding worth $750,000, or about 1.0 billion won, in January from Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm Asia2G and FuturePlay. In April, it secured 2.0 billion won through the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund's innovative startup growth support programme.

Searchdog CEO Junseon Baek (백준선) said, "Based on the results verified through demonstrations with major South Korean construction companies, we will expand the business into the global EPC market."
