Ethereum infrastructure company Blockspace has completed a new funding round.
The round was led by BlueYard, with participation from EtherFi Ventures, Quasar Builder, Sharplink, BreedVC, Luganodes and Stakely, as well as several teams and individuals.
Blockspace bills itself as an infrastructure company that supports blockspace, Ethereum's core product. Its revenue model is ETH. Blockspace operates Ethereum infrastructure, part of which is staking. It earns ETH through staked ETH and repeats the process of staking that ETH again.
The structure is advantageous as Ethereum blockspace usage, demand and economic importance grow. But a single entity with a large stake can itself undermine decentralisation. To prevent that, Blockspace keeps its ETH holdings at 15 percent of total staked volume.
