Prediction-market platform Polymarket is in talks to raise new funding at a valuation of more than $20 billion, CNBC reported on Aug. 4, citing Bloomberg.
The report said the fundraising talks began after Polymarket launched a U.S. exchange operating under regulation in May.
CNBC also reported, citing a source, that Polymarket closed a funding round in April at a $15 billion valuation. The Information first reported the round that month, but the company did not confirm at the time whether the round had closed. Bloomberg said the round included a $600 million cash direct investment by Intercontinental Exchange, the parent of the New York Stock Exchange, announced in March.
