[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang (황치규)] Italian banking group Intesa Sanpaolo tripled its holdings of a staked ether ETF in the second quarter and reduced the weight of some bitcoin ETFs.
Cointelegraph reported on Monday local time that Intesa Sanpaolo held 349,600 shares of the iShares Staking Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB) as of June 30.
The ETHB holding was valued at $7.1 million. That was up from 116,200 shares worth $3.15 million at end-March.
By contrast, its holding of the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) fell about 94 percent to 40,723 shares from 646,809 shares. The ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) was 3.47 million shares worth $67.6 million, down about 4 percent from the first quarter.
The Grayscale XRP Trust ETF (GXRP) was unchanged at 712,319 shares. Its stake in BitGo rose to 323,000 shares, nearly doubling, while its Coinbase holding fell to 7,000 shares.
