Monthly active users of Shinhan Financial Group's integrated financial platform, Shinhan Super SOL, have topped 11 million a little more than a month after launch.
Shinhan Financial said on Monday the platform's MAU rose to about 11.13 million as of July 30 from about 10.3 million just before its June 16 launch. That was an increase of about 830,000 in roughly 40 days.
New members also increased. About 400,000 people signed up after the launch, taking the cumulative number of new members this year past 1 million as of July 30.
Its integrated bank and securities linked account, SOL LINK, also saw about 310,000 accounts opened within a month of its July 1 launch. It surpassed 100,000 accounts in 10 days and topped 300,000 in a month.
Shinhan Investment Corp will hold weekly draws through Sept. 30 for customers who trade at least 1 million won in South Korean stocks and maintain a balance of at least 1 million won. It plans to give Tesla Model Y vehicles to a total of 14 winners.
Customers who open a SOL LINK account will receive My Shinhan Points or coupons usable on the public delivery application Ttaenggyeoyo. New securities customers and dormant customers will receive South Korean stock investment coupons worth 20,000 won and 15,000 won, respectively, and will also be eligible for waived domestic stock trading fees.
A Shinhan Financial official said MAU, new members and the number of SOL LINK accounts opened rose together after the launch of Shinhan Super SOL. The official said the group would strengthen services and the user experience so various financial needs can be handled on a single platform.
