Dogecoin spot net inflows rose 116 percent over the past 24 hours.

On Aug. 1, blockchain outlet U.Today reported that Dogecoin showed improving spot fund flows on the first day of August after a correction in late July.

Coinglass data showed Dogecoin spot inflows of $30.83 million over the past 24 hours and spot outflows of $30.27 million. That put spot net inflows at $558,210, up 116.32 percent. With broad selling seen across the market in late July, the spot net inflow reflects a profit-taking trend.

The price has not yet led to a clear rebound. Dogecoin at one point slid to $0.068, and July 31 ended down 1.42 percent. On a monthly basis, it fell 28.25 percent, posting the second down month since April. That was attributed to the impact of hawkish comments from the U.S. Federal Reserve that weakened expectations for a recovery in the cryptocurrency market.

Spot flows alone point in mixed directions. Rising inflows can be interpreted as a signal that coins are moving to spot exchanges, increasing the likelihood of selling. Outflows, by contrast, mean withdrawals off exchanges and can suggest buying. The latest figures show both inflows and outflows were large, with net inflows only slightly ahead.

As of Aug. 1, Dogecoin showed a modest recovery. CoinMarketCap data put the past 24-hour rise at 0.47 percent, with the price at $0.069. It also gained 0.63 percent on a weekly basis. The market, however, focused more on whether it was entering a volatile stretch than on direction. Analysts saw investors could enter a "new volatility regime" as they adjust expectations around interest rate decisions. That implies pressure on risk assets could persist until the economic outlook becomes clearer.

Regulatory uncertainty is also weighing on investor sentiment. Delays in U.S. market-structure legislation, particularly including the Clarity Act, were cited as a factor weighing on sentiment. Some also suggested that if regulatory clarity is secured, it could accelerate a shift to 24-hour trading and settlement in traditional finance, which could be favorable for digital assets.

Macro factors also remain. Bitfinex analysts pointed to the U.S. jobs report as the biggest macro event since the Fed meeting, and expected investors to remain cautious until then. In this environment, a baseline scenario for August was presented as a view that major cryptocurrencies remain range-bound in a "chaotic August."

There is also seasonal pressure. August has historically been a weak period for Dogecoin, and the meme coin has often ended the month down. Exceptions were August 2021, when it rose 34.29 percent, and August 2025, when it gained 1.77 percent. Expanding spot net inflows are stoking expectations for a short-term rebound, but with macro factors, regulatory delays and bearish futures indicators overlapping, the August trend appears to require further confirmation.

Dogecoin’s moves show spot fund flows and futures sentiment diverging. While a short-term rebound figure has emerged, macro factors and regulatory uncertainty remain, suggesting August is a phase where managing volatility matters more than direction.
