[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Robinhood posted record second-quarter revenue and net profit, but its cryptocurrency trading revenue fell 38 percent from a year earlier.
Cointelegraph reported on July 29 that Robinhood’s second-quarter revenue rose 32 percent from a year earlier to $1.31 billion, and net profit increased 48 percent to $573 million.
Cryptocurrency trading revenue was tallied at $100 million, down from about $160 million a year earlier. Quarterly cryptocurrency trading volume totaled $40 billion. Of that, $18 billion came from the Robinhood app and $22 billion from Bitstamp, the cryptocurrency exchange it acquired in June 2025.
Robinhood continued expanding its digital asset business even as its cryptocurrency trading revenue declined. It launched the Robinhood Chain public mainnet this quarter and introduced a tokenized U.S. stock service for eligible users in more than 120 countries. It also launched its first decentralised lending product, Robinhood Undo.
It also completed its acquisition of WonderFi. Robinhood plans to expand cryptocurrency products in the UK.
Robinhood shares fell 3.15 percent on July 29 ahead of its earnings announcement.
