XRP has been moving within a falling channel that has persisted since a $3.60 peak in July last year, and could in the near term slide once more to $0.9223, an analysis showed.

Decrypt, a blockchain media outlet, reported on July 18 that XRP remains within a corrective pattern formed after a strong rise. It said a decisive break above the channel top is needed to open the possibility of returning to the $3 range.

The key point on the current chart is that both highs and lows are gradually falling. XRP has moved for nearly about a year between two parallel downward trend lines, maintaining a typical falling-channel pattern. The price at the time of the analysis was $1.08. The market is watching whether the correction is entering its final stage.

On the chart, upper resistance blocked buying each time. In September 2025, XRP rose to $3.18 but failed to sustain a breakout and was pushed back into the channel. A rebound in October that year turned down at $3.10, and in early January 2026 it rose only to $2.31. Rebounds later ended at $1.48 in May 2026 and $1.29 in June.

On the lower side, buying repeatedly flowed in. XRP found support at $2.72 in August 2025, $2.19 in October that year, $1.77 in December, $1.28 in April 2026 and $1.05 in June. Still, the assessment said this was not enough to view it as a trend reversal because each defense occurred at a lower price.

The key is whether $0.9223 holds. If buying defends that area, the rebound path is also presented in relatively concrete terms. The first target is $1.29, which has turned into a resistance line. After that, it could briefly be pushed back toward around $1.11 to test whether a new support line forms.

If $1.11 becomes support, the next upside target is $1.81. That area aligns with the support zone from December 2025. After a short-term correction around $1.55, a stronger rebound could follow, the scenario showed. Ultimately, $3.18, the failed breakout high from September 2025 and a major resistance line, was presented as the next key target.

Reaching $3.18 would mean more than a simple price recovery. That is because it could become a turning point where the chart structure of lower highs and lower lows shifts to higher highs and higher lows. XRP's next direction therefore depends on defending $0.9223 and breaking above the channel top, the outlet reported.
