Naver said on Jan. 9 it will take part as an official sponsor of the 40th Golden Disc Awards to be held in Taipei, Taiwan, on Jan. 10, and will provide an exclusive live broadcast in South Korea through Chzzk.
The live stream will deliver the awards’ main stage and the red carpet in real time. It will support Chzzk’s “watch together” content, a format that represents its community-style viewing culture, allowing users to communicate with their preferred streamers and enjoy the on-site atmosphere.
Along with real-time streaming, it will also offer content through short-form videos. Naver plans to invite clip creators to Taipei to capture the scene in short-form content.
Naver has previously provided content from major K-pop awards ceremonies, including the 2025 MAMA AWARDS and The Fact Music Awards, expanding its touchpoints with fans.
Naver will also present the Naver AI Choice award as an official sponsor. It plans to select the artist that stood out most on the red carpet through analysis using video-understanding AI technology.
Yeonju Jang, partnership leader at Naver Enter, said, "As Naver has supported users in experiencing entertainment events such as awards festivals in diverse ways through various Naver services including Chzzk clips, I am pleased that we are participating in this Golden Disc Awards as an official sponsor." She added, "We will continue to actively use Naver’s technology and platforms to provide users with a differentiated entertainment viewing experience."
