KT is introducing a limited-edition home camera product.
KT said on Tuesday it will launch the limited-edition special product, the KT Homecam Baby Shark Edition, developed in collaboration with The Pinkfong Company, on Thursday.
The KT Homecam Baby Shark Edition combines KT’s home care service, KT Homecam Ansim, with Pinkfong Baby Shark, The Pinkfong Company’s flagship intellectual property. It applies a Baby Shark design-only key skin to the existing home camera device.
KT Homecam Ansim is an internet-based home care service that lets households with infants and toddlers check inside the home from anywhere. Real-time video monitoring is available through the mobile app Hejhome. If movement is detected, the camera automatically tracks the target.
It also supports reassurance features such as two-way voice calls between the smartphone and the home camera, motion detection alerts and a privacy mode. Detected video is stored in the cloud for up to 7 days, allowing customers to check recordings when needed.
The KT Homecam Baby Shark Edition will be available for purchase from Thursday through KT stores nationwide, KT’s official online mall KT.com, and its 100 customer service line. The price is 40,700 won, the same as the existing KT Homecam Ansim, and sales are limited to the first 3,000 units. A pop-up store will also run through July 22 at KT Onmajyi on the first floor of the KT Gwanghwamun Building West in Jongno-gu, Seoul. The first 20 customers who buy on site will receive a Pinkfong goods package.
Son Jeong-yeop (손정엽), an executive director and head of KT’s Device Business Division, said, "Through this collaboration, we will strengthen the home care experience for customers with infants and toddlers." He added, "We will continue to introduce home-based services that can be used more easily and in a more familiar way in everyday life."
