Korea Startup Forum said on Sunday it will officially launch the "Physical AI Industry Council".

Eleven companies will participate in the council: Realworld, MegazoneCloud, Bear Robotics, BONAI, BrainCommerce, Seoul Robotics, Agmo, SOS Lab, Elice Group, Persona AI and HyperAccel.

The council will pursue policy proposals, regulatory improvements, opportunities for technology demonstrations and support for global expansion. It also plans to help spread Physical AI use cases in manufacturing, logistics, mobility, defence and service robots.

Hwang Hee-seung (황희승), CEO of BrainCommerce, will serve as the council's first chair.

"Physical AI is a technology that creates new value as AI, which had remained in the digital space, directly interacts with the real world," Hwang said. "We will build a collaborative ecosystem so innovative companies can lead global markets based on their technological competitiveness," he said.

Kim Jae-won (김재원), chair of KOSFO, said, "We will support startup innovation technologies so they can spread quickly across industrial sites around the council, and we will continue to serve as a channel for communication with the government and related institutions."
