Polish crypto exchange Kanga has secured a Class 3 MiCA licence in Latvia, allowing it to provide services across the European Union.

Cointelegraph reported on Wednesday that Kanga operator SIA Alpharoot received the authorisation after approval by the Latvian central bank’s supervisory committee.

The licence was granted on June 18. Kanga said it can use it to offer crypto custody, trading and transfer services across the EU.

Kanga started a pre-authorisation process in Latvia in November 2025 after reviewing several jurisdictions.

The approval comes as Poland has yet to prepare legislation to implement MiCA. The EU’s transition deadline is July 1, but related legislation in Poland has remained deadlocked since the president exercised a veto three times.

Kanga plans to provide customers with additional information on operational changes and service terms through its official channels.
